ANZAC activities - Art and Letters from the War

Saturday, May 18, 2019
Since the school holidays, Room 10 has been learning about ANZAC day. We have made some lovely art showing the poppies of Flanders Field.

We read a book called Harry and the ANZAC Poppy which was a series of letters from WWI, written from a soldier to his daughter. Harry was the great grandson of the soldier. Using these letters as our source, the children in Room 10 wrote letters 'home' from war, pretending that they were either soldiers or nurses. Come in to read what they have written.

  2. Wow! Great work, Room 10! I LOVE how you've made the letters look like they were written 100 years ago! Can't wait to come in and read some more.
