'A moment in time' - a snapshot of something bigger

After writing recounts about swimming last week, we tried writing 'a moment in time' which is quite a different style of writing. Everyone managed to capture one moment from their swimming lessons.

Hazel, Leo and Lochie have really managed to paint a picture with their descriptive words.

A is for Albatross

Optional homework is just that - do it if you want to. Lochie made a huge effort with the letter 'A' and made a life-size albatross!

It is now hanging in Te Puna Ako just outside Room 10 - make sure you come and have a look at it!

Recounts about Swimming...

This week Room 10 wrote recounts about going swimming. We were working on getting the facts in the correct order, as well as sharing our feelings about our experience.

Max has only been at school in New Zealand for a few weeks - he is from Korea. Great writing Max!

A HUGE thank you for your help

Thanks very much to all those parents who were able to help out with swimming - without the correct adult to child ratio we would not have been able to walk to the pool.

I am pretty sure that all the children made progress over the eight days.

Learning Commitment Interviews

Hi there
I had a great week at camp and I know the children in Room 10 had a really great week with Mrs Phillips. Come in and see the Super Hero posters they produced.

Next week on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 we are having our Learning Commitment Interviews. Please go on-line and book your time slot.

Unfortunately I have an appointment I cannot change, right in the middle of things on Wednesday night (at 7.15 pm). However I can come back after this, and have also made myself available on Tuesday evening as well, for any people who need a later appointment.

It would be great to see you all!
